Bravo November: The lucky aircraft

Chinook ZA718, Bravo November, was the only Chinook to survive the sinking of the Atlantic Conveyor during the Falklands Conflict, 1982. Since then four pilots have been awarded the DFC whilst flying the aircraft, which has earned it a reputation as being a ‘lucky’ aircraft.
In this 2021 interview Andy Lawless, who flew the aircraft during the Falklands Conflict, considers its ‘lucky’ status.
