Statue of Sir Winston Churchill

What to expect

The large terraced green square with trees on its western edge, facing the neo-Gothic Palace of Westminster to its east, features a collection of sculptures of statesmen and political leaders. On its most prominent north-east corner, the patinated bronze statue of Churchill stands opposite one of the key entrances to the Palace. It shows Churchill as a powerful, stocky, figure in a naval greatcoat. He leans on a stick and looks defiantly in the direction of his Parliamentary colleagues.
