The Surrounding Structures

Close to the museum are several key buildings that played their part in the Battle of Britain and are largely intact in their original form although now used for housing. The Officers Mess is opposite the museum as is the married quarters of senior officers. Also close to the museum are an original 1926 hangar and other former RAF buildings as well as quarters that are still clearly able to illustrate their past use.
