The Airfield

Close to the museum and accessible is North Weald Airfield which is still operational for General Aviation every day of the year. This includes regular Warbird flying experiences using Spitfire and other 1940s aircraft. Many of the wartime features of the airfield operational in the Battle of Britain period have survived intact and are accessible close to the museum.
