Flight Lieutenant Ross Boyens
New Zealander Ross Boyens was inspired to join the RAF by his father who flew with the RAF during the Second World War. After his flying training he was posted to fly Hawker Siddeley Harrier GR.3s.
During the Falklands Conflict he ferried a replacement Harrier to the Task Force via Ascension Island. Towards the end of the conflict he flew close air support operations, in this interview Ross describes attacking an artillery position with cluster bombs.
