RAF Hendon Airfield

During the 1920s and 1930s, Hendon was renowned for air displays and pageants, drawing thousands of people to watch the displays of formation flying, aerial acrobatics and skywriting. No. 601 Squadron took part in many of these displays while based at Hendon, showing its aircraft to the public and taking part in flying demonstrations.
